Web Design- Best Practices & Favorite Links

Points Discussed:
 - fast loading page
-balance between content and style, telling and showing
- balanced relationship between words and graphics
-With graphics, less is more.
-White space is important and necessary.
-Use bookmarks/targets at the top of a long file to help users navigate through it.

Points Discussed : 
 -  logo at the top 
-logo linkage to home page 
-navigation stand out and consistent through out the site 
-visitors can search cite 
-make form fields easily click able

Points Discussed:
- balance
-no bevel and emboss
-no distracting backgrounds
-lack of detail is bad
-white space is good
-no music
-know when to use tables

-hyperlinks
-large heading
-logo should link to hompage
-use buttons
-have a search engine

- balance
-grids
-colors: pick base colors
-graphics: know what kinds of graphics and how you use them. You don't need fancy graphics but you don't want a poor graphic because it will hurt the website.
-white space: can make elements stand out by adding white space around them.
-Connection: this means that the ideal web design has to have both unity and consistency

- All three of these websites are very plain. They have a lot of white space. The fonts are just the correct size and easy to read. The logo links to the homepage just like the sources said. These website also have fast search engines at the top of the page. They also have a very good balance and colors that are not distraction to the public.
